~NEW PROJECTS are finally on my doorstep. I visited the Veteran’s Retreat Center and checked out what could be done for the Vets to paint and create on the property. It is an incredible piece of property and the log cabin, style, mini mansion is over~the~top. What a truly wonderful place that the good doctor is creating for patients that are made up of Veterans. Most of these fine people suffer with PTSD and have been treated with cannabis, with amazing results.
The first step that I am taking is chalking off a design onto some faux boulders that are beginning to crumble under the years and weather. The Veterans will do the actual paintings.
You can vaguely see some chalk, rough drawing on the photo below. Agave with blooming flowers. And there are holes in the boulders where owls and desert birds have made their homes. We will just paint around them and add a painted owl in a painted hole. 😆

My vision is desert plants. Cactus background with bold, colored flowers on top of the cactus design.
The magic happens when things change along the way.
The idea that many hands will create these pieces makes my heart happy.
I am going back this Saturday morning and am eager to get busy and help to make this happen!
