SHRINE ON

The shrine workshop was a wonderful time, to say the least. It is simply amazing to see what happens when you put scissors, images, glue, an endless supply of decorative doo dahs and many creative minds and skillful hands in one room together.

Four hours of creating altars out of cigar boxes, made with intention, was just not enough time. The afternoon flew by, with a short break for the most delicious gourmet sandwiches, fancy cheeses and fruits prepared by a dear, dear woman friend who I have been connected to for quite some time through various circles of friends. She really outdid herself with the food preparation.

This is definitely a class that will have to be taught again and again. Everyone in attendance had a really fun time and everyone went away with beautiful pieces of artful treasures that were as individual as each person.

Inspiration filled the studio and the vibe was high with so much creativity in the air. If only all of the days were like this, it would be pure, perpetual bliss. There is something unique about having a room full of creative, artsy souls all in one place making art. We feed off of each other, sharing supplies and supporting each other, filling the space with joy and friendship.

Ah, what pleasure can be found in the simple act of creating together, side by side. Creating good karma.

                                                          Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
